BillyBase was created by a group of passionate Billy Strings fans who came together to dig through the archives and gather all the historic information. The team was led by Nick, a fan who later became the band’s first official archivist. Billy Base is the result of this community effort to gather, catalog, and preserve the history of Billy Strings’ live shows.
Along with Nick, we gotta give a huge shout out to Mikey Mineral for literally saving the day (more than once), bringing in countless setlists he had saved. Thank you Mikey!
Huge thanks to Julie Somers, who worked side-by-side with Nick & Mikey to prepare BillyBase for fans. Julie remains a cornerstone of the site and community. Without her, none of this would be possible. Thank you Julie!
In late 2024, BillyBase briefly went offline. For the passionate community it served, the idea of losing such a treasured archive was unthinkable.
A fan, who happened to work at Songfish, a setlist tracking platform, noticed the outage and reached out to see if there was a way to help. Songfish stepped in to acquire BillyBase with a promise to keep it free for fans. Behind the scenes, they worked to improve the site’s speed and stability so fans could continue tracking their live show experiences without interruption.
This partnership preserves BillyBase’s legacy while making it stronger for the future. It protects years of music history and opens the door to thoughtful new tools and features that bring fans closer to the music, and to each other.
