After sitting in with Umphrey’s during their Asheville run, Billy Strings kept busy with a Sunday night sit-in (Feb. 16) with Tyler Childers. Strings joined Childers and his band, The Food Stamps, during their final show of four nights at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.

Strings, playing an electric guitar, joined Childers for a rendition of The Charlie Daniels Band’s “Trudy.” Before Strings took the stage, Childers joked, “I’m no Billy Strings, I’m more Tyler sings!” To introduce the jam-grass guitar hero, he said, “I’ll tell who is Billy Strings: Billy Strings!”
